I currently live in Jackson, MI with my husband and our 3 little boys; Mason, Tyler, and Chase. My husband and I were engaged at Cinderella's Castle in the Magic Kingdom and took our honeymoon there as well. We are 100% a Disney family! We try to go and visit our friend, Mickey Mouse, once a year! Our boys are enthralled by the magic and awe of Disney!
I attended Michigan State University for my undergraduate degree and had the unbelievable opportunity to be a member of the Michigan State Marching Band Color Guard for four years! It was an amazing experience, plus I was able to attend 2 bowl games!
I currently teach 5th grade at Ann J. Kellogg Elementary School with Battle Creek Public Schools. This is my 11th year teaching and my 2nd school with the district. In my time, I have also taught 1 year of 4th grade, 1 year of 2nd grade, 3 years of 1st grade, 4 years of 3rd, grade, and finishing my 2nd year of 5th grade. I love my school and staff I work with. I have the wonderful opportunity of having the same 2 classes over the last 6 years. I had last year's class as 1st, 3rd, and 5th graders and the same for my current class. My current class is the class I had when I began the MAET program so I feel it is only fitting that I complete it with them as well.
